I loved every minute in this dress. I ordered in a 14 and had altered slightly to a 10/12. I also had a lace insert made for the back but this was only tacked on so can be easily removed. I had the dress made with signature Temperley mother of pearl buttons instead of Swarovski crystal ones which are a bit more subtle. I am 5ft3” and wore enormous platforms and kept the length super long too! So could potentially fit 5ft 7” or more.
The Evie dress is draped in an Italian crepe backed satin, and this elegant backless silhouette with its long fluid train, is cut to flatter and elongate the body. The high neckline is slashed open to reveal a touch of skin and finished with a row of Swarovski Crystal buttons. The waistline is gently draped into pleats before flowing into the draped skirt. The main statement of the dress is the bold open back, which is finished with a beautiful bow and sash at the back neck. The drama of this dress brings to mind Hollywood sirens from a bygone era, a continual inspiration in the world of Temperley.
