The stunning Alimentari dress by Georgia Young . Bought in 2022 for a summer wedding Too beautiful to keep locked up in a wardrobe.
It was a dream to wear, so comfortable and flattering. It moved beautifully and was so light .The geometric lines synches in the waist. The 3d laser cut silk organza is the most amazing material playing with the eye . The transparent tulle pieces at the bottom of the dress gave the perfect flash of shoes without baring too much. My favourite feature was the soft silk tulle straps that can be draped softly around the arms ,tied at the back and then can also be tied under the arms , giving the dress a completely different look . The boning in the dress gives the most gorgeous streamline shape and is really supportive without feeling restrictive .
Georgia Young’s latest ready-to-wear collection ‘Sunday’ pays homage to her day of inspiration, a day of free-spirit, self-expression and self-care rituals. Sipping on a chai and seeing the world through a peaceful glow, that’s easy like a Sunday morning.
The Sunday collection is all about going back to the essence and authenticity of the Georgia Young brand. Similar to the ebbs and flows of a Sunday, Young’s five-piece collection sees a favouritism towards the ease of a line, the fluidity of a fabric and the sense of contemporary design through a restraint of less is more. FITZROY, VASETTE, ALIMENTARI & ASTOR reflects the attitude of the Georgia Young bride; free-spirited, deeply connected and with a truly beautiful heart.
Size 10 – 12 with no alterations done apart from being slightly taken up at the front and a elasticated strap on the inside of the dress that closes with a hook and eye fixture to ensure the dress sat correctly on the back .
I’m 5ft 3 inches and wore 4.5inch heels.
There is a very small tear in the lining of the dress on the back which is easily repairable and hence reflected in the price drop .
The dress was bought for €5000, now selling for €1800
